Jack is on fire!!! His last few posts have been wonderfully bombastic and cutting and truthful. I highly recommend reading at least today's post.

Just reading about how Slick Rick Neuheisel has signed up to be a volunteer assistant football coach at a high school in Seattle. The high school he's coaching at is Rainier Beach, more commonly known as Da Beach. I don't even care if he has a hidden agenda, and IMHO I don't think he does. As a coach who is not going to get to coach this year, I envy him. I am also happy that he is coaching at Da Beach. If he is really there because he likes to coach kids, he is going to get a serious reality check. My prediction is he is either back coaching at some kind of professional, er collegiate, level after this, or he stays there. I'm hoping he stays there and just continues coaching because he loves it and the kids. And this is from a person who has thought he was a lying, cheating typical D-1 football coach all along.

It's my last week of full-time work before more-than-full-time of 17 credits and part-time work begins. So far, I'm at least working this Fall but I will not know if they will hire me for post-school employment until the end of Fall. The general consensus around the office is that they will hire me. But I am still not 100% sure because I am not an EE. So now I have to make a decision of whether to flood the market with resumes and cover letters. And should I go through the official Fall Recruiting on campus. So far there are only three firms I would want to inerview with and I've already missed the deadline for one of them (though I would not have received an interview with them anyway since they are a big firm that traditionally looks at grades to make thier first cut). I may interview with Q&T again but I really, really, just want to stay in Portland and at this firm. I like it here. I like the people here. And I like the work that they do.
